Nando App
A small box of tools in a cut-paper poster style, made for the things I use every day.
Open thenando.appWhat it is
Nando App is a small box of everyday tools that lives in one place. You open it, pick a tool, and get on with what you were doing, without ads, accounts or a pile of separate apps on your home screen.
Why I made it
I kept reaching for little utilities, a tuner before I play and a log at the gym, and I wanted them to be fast, calm and mine, instead of whatever the app store happened to offer. Putting them together meant I could add a new tool whenever I needed one, and share the whole box with friends who might want the same.

What is inside today
- Guitar Tuner. A big, readable meter and a small character that tells you which way to turn the peg.
- Dumbbells. A workout log that is quick to fill in between sets and easy to look back on.
- Timer. Made for exercise sessions: presets from 20 to 40 minutes, warm-up and cool-down cues, and start and end sounds you choose.
- Player. A music player that plays tracks slowed down with a wash of reverb, for listening that feels more like a mood than a playlist.
- More on the way. The app is built to grow, so new tools get added as I find I need them.
How it is made
It is a web app you can install on your phone, so it opens like any other app and works without fighting the browser. Every screen is built to fit without scrolling, and the whole thing wears the same cut-paper poster look as this portfolio.
